Holy Toledo....well, really it was Perrysburg

Me and Emilia took a trip to visit my friend, Kelly. She lives in Perrysburg, Ohio, which is just outside Toledo, Ohio. Me and Emilia laughed that you can't say or think of Toledo without at least thinking of the phrase "Holy Toledo".
I dare you to try!

We had quite the adventure getting there. We took the red eye flight to Detroit.
HATE the red eye.
Then rented a car and drove an hour.

Perrysburg is the cutest town.
Very Americana.
I loved it there.
But I'm sure the unseasonably mild temperatures helped my love of Ohio that week.

It was so wonderful to see my friend, Kelly!
JOY!

Emilia was such a treasure to bring along. She took Kelly's kids every day for an adventure. They went to a movie, swimming, kids museum, playing in the park, out for ice cream and clothes shopping! I know Kelly appreciated that the kids had some time out of the house to run and do some fun things. I took the kids to the library one afternoon while Emilia napped and we all went out to breakfast one day and lunch in the park on our last day.
Kelly and I had some time together while the kids were out. One day we got some iced chai and sat by the river. We did a little shopping here and there....I loved every place we went. Even the small town hardware store that we both found many treasures.
Kelly and Kevin have a beautiful house with a great piece of property. Kevin got the go-cart out for Emilia to take the kids out riding. He made some paths in the overgrown grass at the back of their property. Emilia and the girls had a blast riding.

On the path in the field.

Emilia's itchy back after lots of go-cart riding.
I guess the combination of grasses, bugs and go-cart friction caused quite the rash.

Baby Carriers

I'm very proud of my baby carriers that I made. This is the green paisley one that I gave to Drea. I got the chance to try it out on Ryker. He loved it and promptly fell asleep shortly after this picture was taken.

In this picture I tightened the wrap up and pulled Ryker up a little more on my chest.
This felt more comfortable and secure.

The brown striped one I made. I'll give it to Savannah or keep it for myself.

Slumber Party at Grandma and Grandpa's

Breakfast!
Koen and Cleo got to spend the night at our house and we had so much fun!
Blueberries and Pancakes for breakfast.
Story time at night.

We were invited to go swimming with Regan and it was a beautiful sunny day.
Everyone had a fun time!

Baby Updates

Ryker sleeping in my "new" baby carrier
I used this carrier to make a pattern and made two new ones today. I'll update with pictures!

Cleo feeling Baby Dee moving.
Savannah is 30 weeks pregnant!

It's hard to believe she is in her final weeks of pregnancy.
She headed back to Canada after spending three weeks at home and Spencer detained in Canada.
She will come home every few weeks for prenatal visits (and Mama visits)
and then will be home to have the baby in September.

Still praying that Spencer will be  allowed in the US for the birth.

My Little Midwife

Emilia did a mini prenatal on Savannah this weekend.
She found the heart beat all on her own!

Singing in the Rain

The over flowing gutters seemed like a great place to play to Cleo and Koen last week!

Baby Love

We got to spend a big chunk of time snuggling with Ryker tonight. There is nothing quite as magical as holding, kissing and taking in the sweet scent of a newborn. Ryker woke up when we got there and stayed alert and calm our entire visit, which was about 90 minutes. We loved it!

When Koen got home from school he had a special gift from Grandpa and Grandma, a "Big Brother" outfit and a stuffed puppy he named Joey.

I Love This Guy

Still waiting for the "photo booth" pictures from Savannah's wedding.
(They were taken by another photographer).
I can't wait to see them, they should be fun.
