When the kids were younger we had a tradition of going to do a Christmas activity with grandpa and grandma McIntosh. Usually we would go downtown or to Alpenrose village. The kids loved going to see Santa on the 10th floor of Meier & Frank. It was a wonderland. Santa still comes to Macey's. He's a good Santa. But it's not on the 10th floor anymore, and it's not much of a wonderland. It's a fine tuned operation of getting the kids in and selling the portrait packages.
This year Grandpa and Grandma have a 2 year old grandchild (the others range in age from 8 to 22), so they wanted to start the tradition again. This year was Zoo lights and Santa. The 14 year olds, 16 year old and 17 year old joined them and it was a good time. (The 8 and 10 year old live out of town).
Savannah asked for a new boyfriend. He wasn't under the tree Christmas morning, but I'm sure she'll eventually find what she's looking for.
